Productor Get it on GitHub

Run coding agents in parallel, each on its own branch.

Productor is a Mac app for Claude Code and Codex. Every task gets its own git worktree and its own agent, so several things can be under way at once without getting in each other's way. You review the diffs and decide what ships.

Free and open source. For Macs with Apple silicon. Uses the Claude Code or Codex login you already have.

The Productor window: a sidebar of workspaces, a chat with an agent that has just fixed a bug and is asking to push, and the diff of its changes alongside.

A workspace is a branch, an agent, and what you need to check its work.

Start one and Productor makes a git worktree on a fresh branch and puts an agent in it. The agent works freely inside that folder. Your main checkout is never touched.

  • Read the diff and comment on lines. Your comments go back to the agent as one review.
  • Open a terminal in the worktree, or run your dev server with one click.
  • Fork from the end of any turn, into a new workspace with the code exactly as it was then.
  • Pushing and merging always wait for you to say yes.

The reviews you owe, with a first read already done.

The inbox lists every pull request waiting on your review, whether it was asked of you or of your team. Have an agent read one and it reports back with what the change does, what looks risky, and what to ask the author.

  • Reviews are read-only. The agent can't change the code or post to GitHub.
  • Want to run it? Promote the review to a workspace with the pull request's code checked out.
  • Filter by repository, by who was asked, or hide the bots.
The inbox: a list of pull requests awaiting review, one with an agent's summary and a suggested verdict.

Your own pull requests, looked after.

Each workspace shows where its pull request stands: CI, reviews, unresolved comments, conflicts. Open any of your existing pull requests as a workspace and the same applies.

  • CI failed? The agent reads the logs, fixes the cause and tests it.
  • Conflicts with the base branch? It merges and resolves them.
  • Review comments? It makes the changes or drafts replies, and shows you before anything is posted.
  • Turn on Auto and it starts on these by itself while you do something else.

Also in the app.

Quick chats
Ask about a repository without setting anything up. Read-only, and ready the moment you click.
Groups
Collect related workspaces, send one prompt to all of them, merge their ready pull requests together.
Two agents, one window
Pick Claude Code or Codex per chat, and the model for each.
Plans and questions
Have the agent propose a plan first. When it needs a decision, it asks and waits.
Setup scripts
Install dependencies and copy your env files into every new workspace.
Keyboard first, if you like
A command palette, shortcuts for everything, and search across every conversation.

It runs on your Mac, with your logins.

No Productor servers

The app talks to git, to the agents' command-line tools and to GitHub's. There is no Productor account and nothing of yours is stored anywhere but your disk.

Free, and open source

Productor costs nothing and its source is public. Agents run through the Claude Code or Codex you've already logged into, on the plan you already have.

You hold the keys

Anything that reaches other people waits for your approval: pushing, opening or merging a pull request, commenting on GitHub.

Questions.

What do I need to run it?

A Mac with Apple silicon, git, and Claude Code or Codex installed and logged in. The inbox and pull request features also need the GitHub command-line tool, logged in.

Where does my code go?

Nowhere new. Productor keeps everything on your Mac. The agents send what they would send if you ran them yourself in a terminal, to the same providers, under the same terms.

Can an agent push or merge without me?

Not unless you allow it. By default every push, merge and GitHub comment stops for your approval. You can let a single workspace push to its own branch without asking; merging and commenting always ask.

Does it work with GitLab or Bitbucket?

Workspaces, chats, diffs and terminals work with any git repository. The inbox and pull request features are for GitHub only at the moment.

What does it cost?

Nothing. Productor is open source and free, and will stay that way. The only thing you pay for is the Claude Code or Codex plan you already use.

How do I get it?

For now you build it from source: clone the repository, then run pnpm install and pnpm tauri build. You'll need Node, pnpm and Rust. A ready-made download isn't available yet.

Give each task its own lane.

Productor is free and open source. Build it, use it, change it.
